Return from Recharge 2021

Headed into the week missing this view already...

As we re-enter the hectic daily life of work, day camps, alarms, activities, schedules, and all the associated mental load, I'm going to hold on to the peace and calm that comes from watching the ocean and more specifically watching my kids connect with the ocean.

I recognize that they're different from me and will experience their connections to the ocean in a different way. Both because they're different people but also because the world has changed profoundly since my formative experiences with the ocean and because the ocean will continue to change as they grow.

My hope is that we'll all do more to stem the sad and scary changes and bring more positive change as they grow. It's not fair to pass this burden on to them, it's on our shoulders to do something now.
